Nestled between forest and coastline is a small town named New Haven. New Haven was built as a place of refuge for those supernatural being that needed a safe place away from persecution. Unfortunately peace between the species was tenuous and their fighting led to a curse that weakened them all. For two centuries they lived with this curse until one fateful day, the curse was broken, releasing them from their binds. From then on they lived in peace and protected..until now. A decade since the curse was lifted whatever was keeping them protected has been destroyed and their enemies are now descending on the town. Will New Haven remain a safe refuge or are its inhabitants destined to be cursed once again?

I find him to be complex, pulling from almost two centuries of experience to shape his actions and thoughts. His past with his mother makes him mistrustful of others, especially women. He pushes towards a reclusive lifestyle but his thirst draws him out into town, often resulting in trouble. He is cold and distant, his maturity and knowledge of human-kind allows him to manipulate others. Keen on history and survival, he is quite the intellectual individual. He calculates his movements, over-analyzing the ever changing world around him. Despite all of this, he can’t help but fall victim to his vices, endangering himself and especially those around him. Tormented by his attempts at solitude, he’s growing reckless. I feel as though I can manifest an interesting character with all of these attributes, I’m itching to let him out to play!
2nd choice: Rex. I love the darker, more harsh characters.

She didn’t taste the same. Elliot slid his tongue over his teeth, smearing the blood. Her eyes were similar, round and watching. That’s why he had picked this one. Her. The familiarity in the curvature of the lines of her swollen lips and how they parted to let out hot, fragrant breath. Even the sweet smell of her contracting lungs smelled like her. He cocked his head to find the taste while his teeth gripped onto the girls neck. A bit more acidic, was that citrus? Maybe Lemon? She didn’t taste the same.
Her face was lined perfectly, a silhouette against the darkness of his mind. He could mimic the curls in her dark hair and the softness of her voice, but he couldn’t find her taste. His chest pulled at the though of her, so many decades later. He had created a routine out of seeking these girls out, feeding until they sank in their bones- blood gushing into his mouth until he found the faults in each of these promising morsels of flesh. This one wasn’t Marina. She wasn’t Mom. Everyone was dead.
